If somebody asked us if we knew the meaning of kindness, we would probably look at them rather strangely. Of course we know the meaning of kindness, we're not 3 after all. But let's take a deeper look at the real meaning of kindness. Looking the word up in the dictionary gives us answers such as: The state or quality of being kind, a kind act or favor, kind behavior, friendly feeling or liking. The Synonyms of kindness are benignity, benevolence, humanity, generosity, charity, sympathy, compassion and tenderness. Looking at these words and the meaning of kindness, I find that I lack in these areas. So I have been thinking about ways that I could show a little more kindness in my daily life. It could be something small, such as smiling at somebody, you never know how far that smile could go. Or maybe asking somebody how they are doing, or just taking the time to talk to someone. I think the words of Amelia Earhart ring very true, she said "No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves."
I just think that a little kindness can go a long ways!!!
Well, I think that is enough for now. :-)
