New Orleans ~ French Quarter
We decided to take a little drive to downtown New Orleans, which included a drive into the French Quarter (and Bourbon Street), and this is what we saw. Yikes! We didn't get out of the car, we just stayed inside to view the sights. I've been to the French Quarter a couple of times and it is a very unique place, some people say that's almost like a little country to itself with it's own culture. Being down there, I can see why people would say that. The old buildings are definitely spectacular, some dating from the 1700's. In fact, New Orleans was actually founded in 1718. There are plenty of neat things to see. There are museums, old homes, antique shops, etc. There are also jazz bands and saxophone players that play on the streets, it sounds so neat. It's definitely a fun experience (when you're in your car). Lol I'm including some pictures and a couple of video clips that I took while down there. :)
