I came across these little sayings today from Poor Richard's Almanac, by Benjamin Franklin and found them so interesting and true.
1. Tart words make no friends; a spoonful of honey will catch more flies than a gallon of vinegar.
2. Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.
3. The sleeping fox catches no poultry.
4. Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship.
5. Lost time is never found again.
6. The worst wheel of the cart makes the most noise.
7. Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing.
8. At the working man's house Hunger looks in, but dares not enter.
9. A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.
10. Work as if you were to live a hundred years, pray as if you were to die tomorrow.
